Harvey (1950) is a warm, whimsical meditation on kindness, imagination, and the quiet courage it takes to be gentle in a cynical world. Through Elwood P. Dowd and his unseen six-foot rabbit companion, the film turns social “normalcy” on its head with humor that’s soft, sharp, and unexpectedly profound. It leaves you smiling, disarmed, and just a little more willing to believe that decency itself can be a kind of magic.
