Member Pick'd Flick Submission Guidelines and Limitations

Trailer submissions must be received by midnight Central time of the Sunday before the membership meeting to be considered for selection. Only submissions by paid Queens Film Society members will be included. 

Films submitted should not be from a Disney studio (such as 20th Century Fox), should cost no more than $300 for licensing, and should be of good taste. Disney and its studios generally do not allow film societies to show their movies. Sometimes studio ownership or distribution rights change to one of these, but we don't learn of it until we begin the licensing process. Film selections are not final and tickets will not be sold until the licensing is secured. If licensing is not available for the first choice or if it does not meet these requirements, the next highest scoring film will be submitted for licensing until we have a final selection.
